| Dr. Don Jones, Executive Director/ Biblical Counselor / Teacher: Don began his walk with Christ in 1979 and soon afterwards followed the Lord’s leading into Christian ministry. In 1981 he entered into Carson-Newman College where he earned a B.A., in the Philosophy of Religion, and later became a Licensed and Ordained Southern Baptist Minister of the Gospel. After that he started Cornerstone, an inner-city ministry, which targeted the homeless and addicted in a small community in the Appalachian Mountains. After three years of service there he enrolled at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary to work on his Masters of Divinity Degree. While at Southern Seminary, he pastored Bethel Baptist Church in Indiana. After leaving Seminary he returned to East Tennessee and started Grace Fellowship Church where he served as pastor for six years. During this season he completed his M.A. Degree in Biblical Counseling and his Th.D., in Biblical Studies at Master’s Graduate School of Divinity. Two years ago, in response to prayer, Don envisioned God desiring to use him in a Biblical Counseling capacity in the East Tennessee area. Resolve Ministries Biblical Counseling Center is the result of this vision. Kristi Breeden, Biblical Counselor Kristi is a native of Knoxville and became a follower of Christ in 2000 while she was a student at the University of Tennessee. After graduating from Southeastern in December 2006 with an MDiv in Biblical Counseling she moved back home to Knoxville and is now an active member of Belmont Heights Baptist Church where she serves in the youth ministry. She earned a BA in Christian Education from Pfeiffer University in North Carolina and served as a youth director at Servant of Christ Lutheran Church in Minnesota. She sensed a call to missions and studied Missions and Early Childhood Education at Crown College (then St. Paul Bible College) in Minnesota, and spent over ten years teaching children with and without special needs. It is Kathy’s passion to reach out to the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and she has been on numerous short term mission trips throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Eastern Europe, Brazil, and recently, Bangkok, Thailand. She married her husband, Peter, in 2005 and graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with an MDiv in Evangelism. She and Peter then moved to Knoxville, TN, where Kathy received certification as a Biblical Counselor from the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC) in 2008. Kathy desires to teach biblical principles to believers in order that they might fulfill their calling to become active worshippers and disciple-makers. She has counseled women struggling with a variety of personal and family issues at Fellowship Evangelical Free Church since 2006, and joined Resolve Ministries as a Biblical Counselor in February 2009. |
